Information of Trogir
Trogir is a harbour and a historic city on the Adriatic coast, 27 km west of Split. The city stands on a small island (approximately 1 km²) situated between the Croatian mainland and the island of Ciovo. The centre of Trogir is a World Heritage site. Tourism is the main source of income in the Trogir region at present and accounts for 50% of the municipal budget, with over 20,000 beds available in hotels and private apartments for tourists. There is also a great tradition of fishing and agriculture among the population in surrounding areas. The most important industry is that of shipbuilding. The "Trogir" shipyard was established early in the 20th century and has a capacity of 2 boats of 55,000 tons. 93 boats were built in the shipyard between 1990 and 2004.
Located on the northern part of the island of Ciovo, the harbour has 180 berths, a reception, a bureau de change, a laundry, toilet and shower facilities, a restaurant, a grocer’s, a workshop for repairs and a parking area.
The closest airport is that of Split, just 2 km away.
