Where Mali Losinj is?

The island of Losinj was in times of old connected to the island of Cres, but in Roman times a canal was constructed, resulting in their separation. Around Losinj there are as well other smaller islands such as Unije, Ilovik and Susak, known as the island of sand.
The most important centre on Lošinj is Mali Lošinj , well known for its beautiful beaches and the shade of the coniferous trees. Often dolphins visit the islands seas. In Lošinj there is a dolphin reserve, which has a celebration day in August. In tiny places such as Nerezine, Ćunski and Sv. Jakov one can relax in peace and quiet.
